New Zealand author Lance Morcan’s latest novel, One Witness Too Many, was launched on Kindle today. Set in Auckland, this spine-tingling suspense thriller reveals how a beautiful young woman’s life dramatically changes after she witnesses a cold-blooded murder.
The premise:
One glance. A face glimpsed through a store window. A killer who now knows exactly what she looks like.
Auckland IT specialist Nessa Carter has finally put her life back together. After being jilted by her fiancé on the eve of their wedding, she’s newly single, newly confident, and ready to face the world again.
Then an after-hours detour past a closed jewellery store changes everything. Through the store’s glass door, she witnesses a robbery that turns to murder — and in one heart-stopping moment, the killer’s eyes lock on hers.
He flees, leaving no fingerprints, no usable CCTV footage, no other witnesses. Only Nessa.
As the police investigation stalls, Nessa realises a terrifying truth: being the sole witness, she’s the only person alive who can identify the killer. Worse, he saw her clearly so she knows it’s likely he will be searching for her.
Her fears are well grounded.
With no leads, no suspects, and a professional killer who doesn’t leave loose ends, Nessa must decide how far she’ll go to stop him — before he decides to silence the one witness who can put him away.
Because in this case, being the only witness is one witness too many.
