Jaded over Brexit? Do yourself a favour and read English author-poet Harry Whitewolf’s new release, straight-talking, poetry book Broken Albion.

Broken Albion by [Whitewolf, Harry]

Broken Albion, Whitewolf’s ninth poetry book, takes a satirical, logical, humorous, and opinionated look at the contemporary UK Brexit-led political and cultural landscape, and imagines a world beyond division, where having compassion for one another is more important than flags.

One reviewer describes it as a “must-read” for anyone confused by Brexit; another recommends it “for fans of poetry, politics, or anyone searching for a quick enjoyable read” – and yet another says “It (Brexit) is complicated, but Broken Albion explains it all.”

Harry Whitewolf is the author of two raffish true travelling tales that read like fiction (Route Number 11 and The Road To Purification), and seven collections of contemporary poetry, including Underdogs Unite, New Beat Newbie, Two Beat Newbie, and Rhyme and Rebellion, which was one of Readfree.ly’s 50 Best Indie Books of 2016.

As Brexit and British politics ramps up, members of our burgeoning Underground Knowledge global discussion group on Goodreads postulate on whether the world is watching the emergence of the British Empire Mark II.

Brexit…Not going well, is it?

Here’s examples of what Undergrounders are saying:

What is the Commonwealth if not the British Empire 2.0? https://www.theguardian.com/commentis…

The Empire strikes back? Or delusions of grandeur of an old relic?

What about Scotland 2.0? Delusions of grandeur that requires the architects get medicated?

The Scots think they will get North Sea oil if they left, but my guess is it would be considered a UK asset, and in a divorce divided proportionately to population.

City of London has much greater banking power than most realize, in my opinion…This may be an underestimated aspect of the soon-to-be EU-free Britain…

I have given up trying to pick what will happen from this bizarre exercise. Just about anything is possible, but I suspect a cleanout of politicians in the next election is probable. Whatever the ending, there will be strife, but I suspect it will be worse if they don’t exit, given both major parties promised to at the last election.

Ed Spannaus introduces the September 1997 panel on Britains Invisible Empire. Copies of the Fall of the House of Windsor Report that he mentions are available at www.larouchepub.com Counter-Intelligence editor Jeff Steinberg opens by detailing the structure and nature of the modern British Empire starting with Queen Elizabeth, her perrogative powers, the Privy Council, and the corporate power she wields. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOROJ…

If they go against the outcome in favor of those who exercised their democratic right to vote to leave the EU then democracy is truly dead in the UK, and it would be better to ‘leave’ personally.

Could Brexit mean a new UK-China relationship? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c84og…

There is no doubt in my mind that the UK politicians have behaved very badly over this whole farce, and I suspect they will continue to do so as whatever happens happens.

The Queen is expected to do what Parliament decides. She must be in severe difficulty in working out what to do now.

If you leave the EU, you need a large market. 1.4 billion is not bad. But additionally, it gives leverage in future trade discussions with the EU. As I understand, Germany is the major supplier of cars to the UK. The threat of Chinese competition should sharpen Germany’s attitude in trade talks.
