“An immensely entertaining romance adventure!” That’s how Amazon Hall of Fame Top 100 reviewer Grady Harp describes our new release aviation thriller-romance THE HEATHROW AFFAIR.

The Heathrow Affair by [Morcan, Lance, Morcan, James]

New release aviation thriller-romance.

Excerpt’s from Grady Harp’s review follow:

The Morcans make their novel very contemporary in feeling and content as the opening suggests: ‘The evening of July 25th was an evening young East Ender John Woods would never forget. It was the end of London’s hottest day ever when the temperature hit an all-time high of 37.9 Celsius, and Britain, like the rest of Europe, sweltered in a heatwave like no other on record. It was also the evening John’s beautiful Cambridge-born wife and childhood sweetheart Sandra announced she was pregnant. That wasn’t the only surprise in store for him, however…’ And with that degree of immediacy of conditions and seeds for intrigue, the novel sets flight on an immensely entertaining romance adventure!

… The novel is short, an exciting two-hour read, and provides a fine diversion for an evening away form the clutter of the world. Lance and James prove they can write romantic novels very well indeed. Recommended.

Four Historical Adventures (White Spirit / Into the Americas / World Odyssey / Fiji: A Novel) by [Morcan, Lance, Morcan, James]

Box set launched.

Box set includes:

White Spirit (A novel based on a true story):

This epic novel is based on the remarkable true story of Irish convict John Graham who escapes the notorious Moreton Bay Penal Settlement on Australia’s east coast to find sanctuary with the Kabi, a tribe of Aborigines who eventually accept him as one of their own. John is torn between two women – one black, one white – and is forced to choose between them.

Into the Americas (A novel based on a true story):

A gritty, real-life adventure based on one of history’s greatest wilderness survival stories. It’s a tale of two vastly different cultures – North America’s First Nations people and European civilization – colliding head on in the early 1800’s in the Pacific Northwest. One reviewer says the action is relentless. Another describes it as a Romeo and Juliet story set in the wilderness.

World Odyssey (The World Duology, Book 1):

This novel follows the fortunes of three young travelers. Their adventures span sixteen years and see them engage with Native Americans, Barbary Coast pirates, Aborigines, Maoris and Pacific Islanders as they travel around the world – from America to Africa, from England to the Canary Islands, to Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Their adventures continue in Fiji.

Fiji: A Novel (The World Duology, Book 2):

A continuation of the dramatic adventures of the travelers who feature in book one in the duology, this novel is set entirely in Fiji. English missionary Susannah Drake wants to convert the Fijians while American adventurer Nathan Johnson wants to trade muskets to them. There’s conflict ahead. The unlikely pair soon have to depend on each other for their very survival.

An Interim Assignment by [Shaddock, George]

An Interim Assignment

The old SNJ Navy trainer made a perfect wheels-up, dead-stick landing in Lake Winnebago. As it came to a halt 25 yards from the beach, the pilot’s desperate effort to open the canopy proved useless. The canopy is locked. A moment later, he watched a woman with a rock in her hand, smashing the canopy to bits. She continued to pound the Plexiglass and throw the shards away while shouting for him to remove all restraint straps. The moment the opening in the canopy was large enough, she pulled him out of the plane just as it began to sink to a watery grave. She then had to help him swim to shore.

The pilot is Captain Josh Wiley, the best Navy fighter pilot the Navy has ever produced. Captain Wiley has recently been given complete control of the Top Gun School in Fallon NV. The woman who saved him is Sidney Davies, a retired commander of a Marine ground-support helicopter squadron.

Captain Wiley’s assignment has been to check F-15 fighter jets for compliance with a sales contract…a contract signed by the President with the Saudis. The Captain has uncovered a serious problem.

Captain Wiley’s survival from the crash make him a target for assassination and, by assisting him, Sidney has also become a target. Their struggle to remain alive and stop delivery of the aircraft is finally brought to the attention of Admiral James Fenimore, Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, DC.    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GXKXLZN/

“An exciting New Zealand outdoors adventure!” That’s how Amazon Hall of Fame Top 100 reviewer Grady Harp describes the new release, crime-based adventure High Country Contract, written by Lance & James Morcan and published this week by Sterling Gate Books.

Harp’s Amazon review follows (below) unabridged:

High Country Contract

Crime-based adventure resonates with critic.

The Morcans know how to deliver intrigue, both on scientific subjects and most assuredly on suspense thrillers. They invite us in with their story with and introduction to New Zealand and the chief character Arch Quaid:

‘Twenty-five-year-old Arch Quaid along with other MOEs (Members of the Unemployed) surveyed the latest job vacancies at Work and Income New Zealand’s Christchurch office. It was a routine he’d become used to since winter’s arrival had seen unskilled workers like himself laid off. He wasn’t sure if it was his imagination, but the number of unemployed seemed to increase each day and the list of vacancies seemed to decrease proportionately…Resigned to remaining unemployed for another day at least, the young Kiwi left the WINZ office and headed for a nearby café that currently served as his home away from home…’

With that flavor of credible authenticity the story proceeds – we learn that Arch endured an injury to his right leg while yearning to launch a rugby career, and that he is a loner following a family schism.

He meets Sam Bartlett who presents him with a deer culling contract on a high country property bordering the Southern Alps (named Rocky Mountain High), he meets the Maori girl Janine, and the story begins. Or as the authors describe it, ‘Young Kiwi drifter Arch Quaid thinks he has landed the contract of his life when he’s hired to cull deer on a high country property in the South Island of New Zealand. He quickly changes his mind when he discovers he’s the hunted, not the hunter. Caught up in the middle of it all is his new love Janine, a beautiful Maori girl, who will likely be the killer’s next target if Arch doesn’t overcome the most daunting of odds.’

This is a tense thriller, beautifully written with wholly credible characters and many twists and turns that keep the reader magnetized. HIGH COUNTRY CONTRACT proves once again that the Morcans are a very fine writing team.

This is a tale that pleads to be a film – and perhaps that will happen, as James is also a screenwriter! Highly recommended. -Grady Harp

Here’s the latest review (unabridged) of our new release book VACCINE SCIENCE REVISITED: Are Childhood Immunizations As Safe As Claimed?

The amount of research that has gone into this book is stunning. Furthermore, it’s been written in collaboration with a professional medical advisory team, so you can be sure that the content is factually correct. When vaccines are seen as such a normal part of modern life, it’s easy to not think twice about what you’re putting into your body, what the vaccine actually does to you and how the vaccine actually works. I tell ya, I’m glad I don’t have kids, as I’d find it an extremely difficult task to know whether it would be better for them to receive vaccines or not, but this book acts as a great resource for you to come to your own conclusions about whether vaccines are entirely safe.

I’ll be honest, I occasionally turned off from the slightly-weighty medical specifics (as much as they’re necessary), but this is my own fault – not the authors. Complex information is actually broken down very well into bitesize chunks that can be easily understood by the layman. Personally, the bit I enjoyed reading about the most was how vaccines were first created and came into being (which I knew nothing about).

There shouldn’t be anything wrong with the subtitle of this book: “Are Childhood Immunizations As Safe As Claimed?” – as that is the central question being posed in this book, and the book’s blurb begins with the statement: “An unbiased, neutral, fact-based investigation that simply allows the science to do the talking on childhood vaccinations.” However, seeing a few one-star reviews for this book makes me believe (perhaps wrongly) that those readers haven’t even read it, and they’re thinking the authors are trying to tell you why vaccines are not safe. As much as there is evidence for vaccines not being quite as good as you perhaps believe, the authors do not try to sway their readers. They are simply posing the question. As they quote in the final chapter: “The important thing is not to stop questioning.” (Albert Einstein). Amen! That’s the most important thing of all. With such massive profits being made by Big Pharma etc., and more and more information coming out about the dangers of many types of medication (I’ve always been amused at that term “side effects”. SIDE effects? They’re simply the EFFECTS!) and people turning more and more to natural remedies, we certainly all need to consider exactly what vaccines are and what they do to us. This is an important and comprehensive book that I highly recommend. -Harry Whitewolf, Author of Route Number 11  and The Road To Purification
